CLIENTS: Dorset Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty/Dorset County Council/West Dorset District Council
The brief required a different approach to promote cycling in West Dorset, reflecting its wonderful array of food, art and things to see and do. West Dorset is a very popular tourist destination and the packs aimed to portray its beautiful, unique flavour.
The graphic design and illustration project involved 5 double sided, trifold leaflets contained in a folder. Each leaflet has its own personality based on the area of the route. The leaflets and illustrated maps are unusual and designed to be attractive so people will pick them out from the mass of tourist information out there. Following the success of the West Dorset Pedal packs, another set of leaflets for Dorset Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty's South Dorset Ridgeway Heritage project was commissioned. This pack and four double sided, trifold leaflets consist of 4 walking routes taking in the beautiful countryside around the Ridgeway which is particularly rich in prehistoric archaeology.
For this project all aspects, including the print and map production, were undertaken by Yvonne Lee. Again each route is designed to be appealing and each leaflet has a unique personality. All these leaflets are on the DOANB website for downloading:

This project followed on from the "Round-a-bout-the-Ridge" walking leaflets. This graphic design project was unusual as it is a 5 fold, double sided information brochure.
Incorporating the look and feel of the walks it also includes pre-existing photographs and maps. An original timeline information graphic was produced specifically for the project which quickly and easily shows the information whilst also being visually relevant.
The result offers a refreshing change to the tourism and information design norm, giving people an engaging dose of Dorset.

Also as part of the South Dorset Ridgeway Heritage project, a commission for the graphic design of a catalogue and invitation flyer postcard for a related art exhibition, including print services, was produced by Yvonne.
